Ambrosia 9/24-9/25

Hello all,
On my sound engineering internship I got to go on a small two-day tour with the band Ambrosia, a fairly big band in the 70s.

Let me tell you...they still got it! They sounded friggin' amazing and surprisingly enough actually rocked! A lot of rock/pop/progressive elements in it. I never really knew who they were aside from the song "You're The Biggest Part of Me." I assumed they would sound like that the entire set...I was wrong :P

I had an great time and learned a lot and I hope to do it again very soon!

Incubus and Young The Giant, Klipsch Amphitheater 9/20/11

Last night Incubus and Young The Giant hit Miami, FL last night and I must say, it was a damn good show.

Young The Giant is an up-and-coming rock band who recently hit it big with their single My Body. Sadly, that was the only song I knew lol. Their live performance was phenomenal. They put on a kick-ass show and had an awesome presence. I did not see any mistakes in their set either. Spot on, vocals, guitars, drums, everything was just great. I can't wait for them to get bigger, they deserve it.

Incubus was just straight up amazing, but that was a given :P. Man, that singer can hit every note in every song, and go even higher and STILL manage to not lose his voice like a lot of other bands. They opened with Megalomaniac and ended with Pardon Me and another song I didn't recognize. They were amazing, one of the best shows i've seen.

The Rock Allegiance Tour, 9/7/11

Dated about 11 days ago I know, but I created this after the fact.

A while back a few friends and I had won tickets to the Rock Allegiance Tour hitting Pompano Beach Amphitheater.

Tickets: Free

Every band on the roster was awesome, Drive A, Crossfade, Red, P.O.D, Puddle of Mudd, Buckcherry, and Papa Roach! Right before Crossfade's set a representative from a local radio station (the Buzz) asked us if we wanted to go back stage and meet Papa Roach (who is pretty much my favorite band). At first, we thought she was bs-ing us...but she wasn't. She had seen my buddy Kyle wearing a Buzz Bakesale shirt and little did we know, there was a contest going on through the Buzz saying that if anyone went to this concert wearing a Buzz shirt, they got to go backstage! Oh! Kyle had also gotten the buzz shirt he was wearing for free!

Going Backstage: Free

Buzz T-Shirt: Free

So we got to meet Buckcherry AND Papa Roach, the two headliners of the tour. It was an awesome experience to say the least. The day just got better and better. Each band was better than the last and it was just an amazing concert.

Next show? Incubus and Young The Giant, September 20th!
